This League is STILL ACCEPTING Individual Players, Groups of Friends and Team Registrations. While we wait for opening night, here are a few additional details that might help you prepare for your first game…If you have ANY questions not answered here, please don’t hesitate to email or call us!

League Dates: The Fall Season of Coed Beach Volleyball is from September 17th - November 5th. (Please understand that we have a no-refund policy once a league has begun. However, rest assured that we are fully committed to providing your full value of games as advertised.  If, for example, we have to postpone this volleyball league after it has started because California takes a “step back” in the tiers, we will still complete the full number of games promised in the season just as soon as we are able, in accordance with state guidelines.  Pro-rated credits will also be available if changes or cancelations are required by the state).

*Schedule for week 1 will be posted by 5pm on Saturday, September 16th

Registration Deadline(s): In order to receive a team T-shirt on week 2, you must be signed up by Midnight on opening day. Rosters must be complete with 5 players by week 2 in order to avoid a charge to the team captain's card, and late registrations will be closed by week 3 (October 1st). There will be no roster changes after week 3.

Game Location: Games are played on the sand volleyball courts at the Orange County Great Park (6950 Marine Way, Irvine, CA 92618). Please be sure to arrive 20 minutes early on the first week with your ID. Once you arrive at the park, you’ll need to park in North Lot 4, follow the signs to the volleyball courts.   

Schedule: Your first game will be on Sunday, September 17th and the schedule for the 1st week will be posted on our mobile-friendly website by 5PM the day before the season starts. The schedule for the remainder of the season will be posted after your first games. Game times are at either 10:00am or 11:00am each week. Any games that your team is not able to attend, please communicate with us at least 48 hours in advance. Teams that forfeit more then once during the season will be ineligible for playoffs.

Week One Instructions: Please be sure to arrive a minimum 20 minutes early on the first & last weeks to check-in. Once you arrive at the park, you’ll need to go directly to the main tent to check-in, receive your wristband (wristbands are required to play) and ask any questions you may have from our staff.

Parking: Parking is free, and closest to the courts coming through Lot 4. Please plan ahead to give yourself plenty of extra time if you are parking so that game times are not affected by late-comers. 

Weekly Photos & Social Media : We will welcome our league photographers for several weeks within the season. Photos are posted within 5 business days on our facebook page at: www.facebook.com/beachcitysports. We highly recommend subscribing to our Events Tab on Facebook to keep up with sports & social events on and off the sand. You may also follow @BeachCitySports on Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and TikTok! For your own posts, don't forget to hashtag #BeachCitySports!

Clothing: Team shirts are dry fit for the season (only for players registered by opening day and are opted in), and will be received on week 2 and no later than the 3rd week. Proper attire throughout the season will include comfortable shorts or workout pants (or some choose to simply wear a bathing suit). We also suggest bringing socks just in case the sand is too hot or cold. Balls will be provided

Food & Drinks: Hydration is important when playing outdoor sports, so please be sure to pack your own water bottle. Please feel free to bring your own coolers, snacks, and non alcoholic drinks. No alcohol or smoking will be permitted on the park due to city and state liquor laws.

Bad Weather Days: We always prefer to play - but in some cases games will be cancelled only due to lightening or unsafe field conditions (or when mandated by the city). Cancelled games will be texted to our team captains within 2 hours of game-time and posted via facebook (www.facebook.com/beachcitysportsemail). Up to 2 rescheduled games are possible in a BCS league, either by double header on a future week OR by extending the season. If the weather requires more than 2 reschedeuled games, those games will NOT be rescheduled and refunds will not be issued.
